Pastoral House System
We believe that every student deserves the highest standard of pastoral care possible in order to maximise their achievement. The Carlton Academy has a House system in which each student belongs to their own House Tutor Group.
Each House is led by a member of the school Senior Leadership Team, with a Head of House and House Support Assistant working very closely with students and the House Tutor Team. The House Tutor Group meet every day for 20 minutes, during which time they undertake a structured programme of activities and also attend their weekly House assembly.
Vertical Tutoring
Each House Tutor Group consists of a mix of students from Years 7 to 11. This provides a supportive, family focused environment and quickly builds relationships between all students across all years.

Contacting a member of the House Team
The Form Tutor is the first point of contact for your child - each year we issue a contact card for the form tutor which has their email address and contact details. If you wish to contact a member of the House Team, please do so by calling the main school phone number.
